Talking FS Stock STi tires 1K miles

Selling stock sti tires for a friend with about 1K miles. Never tracked. Freeway driving. Still have nubs/ tire hairs.

Send PM with reasonable offer. No rush to sell. Just have an extra set in the garage.

What year are these from? Or what size? Because I think the 05-06 are 245 instead of 225.

05-06 are 225 stretched on a 17x8, not 245. 245 is usually on European cars that run a wide setup like 8.5 wide tracks. 04-06 = all 225/45/17. Even though in 05-06, they changed from 17x7.5 to 17x8.

You do realize S-03's, RT615's, RA1's, T1S, etc are all street legal tires right?

Any of those tires will run circles around the stock STi tires, they suck compared to any of those.

They compare to ES100's if anything..

i think yin is right because how to sticky the tire is correalates with its treadwear..... and im pretty sure the RE070's are around 140. Ive never heard of another street tire stickier than that.

S03's=220
RS2's=200

Although the stickiness of a tire is related to its treadlife, they are not direct relations. For example, just because a tire has great treadwear, doesn't mean it is not sticky, and vice versa, just because a tire has horrible treadwear, doesn't automatically make it super sticky.

The RE070's are good tires, no doubt, but as Zoeb said, tires like the S-03's, RA1's, Pilot Sports are better than the RE070's. The RE070's are no where near the stickiest street legal tires available.

Anyways, back on topic - bump for you

dang... nitpicky arent we. im not trying to prove anything/anyone right or wrong...

i was only trying to help my friend sell something by saying the product he is selling is pretty good. y'know, like how people say "free bump for a good guy". im sorry if i added that the product is good. if i offended anyone... i am truly truly sorry. really. i am. honestly. no doubt. werd. my bad.

you guys are right, i dont know what i was thinking. im convinced after reading one person's opinion, who apparently has tried every single one of those tires to be able to compare. re-070's really aren't good. i worded it wrong and should have said, "re-070 are good tires." there. done. no more arguing.

i retract all previous statements. is anyone a notary public here? can i get this post notarized to show that i was wrong? pm me if you are a notary.
