I'm finishing up my research on wheels and tires and found these. I was thinking about getting the dark grey one's and putting them on my soon to be purchased WRX.
What do you think would look better, a black WRX with these gunmetal grey, or a silver WRX with these dark grey?
Personally I think it's a great wheel and tire package.
Feedback welcome.

Both would look tight. I prefer silver, but I am biased 'cause mine is silver. What about gold on black??

I've thought about that, but I want to put something together slightly different ya know? :)
The two colors for a WRX / STi are either going to be Silver or Black. If you were me, and those were the two colors you were going to pick from, and based on this wheel / tire package, what would you go with?
I was leaning towards a black WRX, with a dark grey rim, wheel package. The wheels wouldn't be black but rather a shiny dark grey.
For me personally, I'm kinda an understated guy, and flashy gold rims / wheels or chrome plated are a bit much ya know? :)
I'm totally open to suggestions though.

These are also a great deal. Arrggh! So many options! :)
These in 17 painted a gunmetal grey on a silver subaru would look really sharp IMHO. And they're very light at only 16 lbs!

Ack! You’ve gone from the RL7's in your first post to the Rotas? Unless money is a very big issue, sick with the Racelines. They are top-quality wheels, and deep in rally heritage (just like the Impreza).

Cool thanks again for all of your feedback. I don't know the weight of the 18's but I've emailed the guy asking for this.
My concern of course is 18's might look, "cartoony" on a WRX if that makes any sense. I've read the other threads on this very issue, 17's vs 18's and the trend seems to be leaning toward 17's.
- They're lighter, more tires to choose from, larger selection, etcetera.. :) The Rotas are an incredible value at 17 inch, very light (16lbs!) and can accept many different tire selections. Plus they an go over very large brakes, so if I upgrade, I've got room there.
Looks like I've got more research to do! :D Thanks for all your help thought guys, much appreciated.

OK, what color would you guys recommend on these two WRX car colors, in the 17 inch size: http://www.machiii.net/machiii/html/wheels/rota_subzero.html
1) Black WRX? (Per the link colors to choose from are white, bonze, steel grey, black, gold, gun metal and silver
2) Silver WRX? (Same color options as above.)
My goal is to create the most striking combination, while at the same time not overdoing it. :) Also I'd like to create a color combo that not everyone has. (ie. black WRX, gold rims.)
I think on the black car silver or gunmetal would look great, but maybe the best combo would be gunmetal with a silver polished lip. Check out the Konig Imagine (Opal) at Tire Rack. On the silver car I think black or gunmetal looks excelent. My 03 white WRX has the prodrive P1's in anthicite, if i get a chance I will take some pics and post or email them.
Best of Luck

Hey Cowboy, if you do deal with Mach III, let us (rather me :D ) know -- I've always wondered if they were legit or not, since I've heard some many different things from so many different people. I'd rather just trust a fellow I-Clubber ;)
Oh, and I say gold on black and gunmetal on silver :D Good luck man!

I was thinking of doing a total black out with the black sub-zeros.
I think a black wrx with black moretts front and back with black sub-zeros and a black twisted i emblem would look sweet. I almost forgot the darkest tint that you can buy.

Cool, thanks again guys for your help. And I live near Mach III, about 30 miles away, so before I buy, I'll drive up there and check them out first!
