FS: (CO) Subaru 2.5L N/A Complete engine works 1.8L harness
I am selling a Subaru SOHC 2.5L non-turbo engine, It comes with a engine wiring harness so you can drop it into a Subaru Impreza manual engine bay, and plug it into your stock ECU. The complete setup passed the Colorado emission tests with stock exhaust and O2 cell.
The Engine is manly built with 2001 engine parts with a little over 30,000 miles on them. The only part of the engine that is not a 2001 is the block the bock is a 2003 engine block with less then 3,000 miles on it.
The engine is built using the 1.8L coil so you would need to use your stock igniter, modified plug wires are included.
The engine also uses a stock throttle body which was bored out to the size of the stock 2.5L throttle body.
There is -5 ends so you can easily install Aeroquip fuel inlet and outlet line.
Aeroquip does sell a piece that treads onto the -5 to convert to hose if you want o use the stock fuel lines.
We installed the block with 1,500 miles in about 1,100 miles ago. We did use brand new head gaskets, and engine gasket set.
The timing belt is the same off the original engine before we replaced the block. The timing belt looked in perfect condition so we reused it.
This is the engine out of my rally car and has only been raced once since I have had the engine in this configuration.
The engine has only run on synthetic oil since it was brand new, and shows 60psi oil pressure above 2k rpm.
This is a great setup to get your stock 1995 1.8L Impreza the power you want, in a very reliable and easy install.
I am asking $1700.00 for everything plus shipping.
I am willing to work out shipping with the buyer to get it to you as cheaply as we can.
This engine is in perfect working condition with no oil leaks of any kind.
If I did not install the 2.0L turbo engine into my rally car I would still be driving on it.
Please contact me with any questions.
Thanks,
Erik Schmidt
