Looks like the Legacy GT lost out to this......for my family car.

Well, my 2 year quest for my family car recently ended. The top two contenders were the Legacy GT wagon and the 06 Charger Daytona. My wife and kids picked the Daytona.......and that's what came home that day! Back to the V-8 !

That's sick! Very nice Ray! Next step, new digital camera. The pic of your Kimber and new Charger aren't done justice by your camera phone.

Thanks to the cylinder deactivation technology in the new Hemi it actually only gets 1.30 miles per gallon less than the Legacy GT Limited according to EPA combined.

2006 Dodge Charger Daytona Hemi - 20.0 MPG EPA Combined
2006 Subaru Legacy GT Limited - 21.3 MPG EPA Combined

I hope they've improved it since Cadillac tried it. I remember some really funny incidents with cars stalling on the freeway.

Well, they weren't quite so funny to the drivers...

I sure hope they have as well considering they've had 20+ years to work on it. My Grandpa had one of those (called the 4-6-8 system) and though his never had problems, the process was less than smooth. This new one is much more complex, and obviously the computers used to controll the process are quite a bit more advanced. Not only have there been no major problems with it reported, but parent company Diamler is going to be using in some Benz motors.

Speaking of Mopar Power, I can't wait for the Charger SRT-8.
