Understand why your asking, but why? The Hood has been redesigned to use the smaller scoop. I don't know what it is about that monsterous hood scoop that people like, to each his own. To answer the question, I'm going to have to say no. It is a complete overhaul as the hood goes. Try it out and let us know.

Unless you can find an '04/'05 hood scoop from a wrecking yard you can probably spend your money on other practical mods or exterior touches. Subaru and (STi) went with the downsized hood scoop on the '06 car because the improved aerodynamics of the new hood no longer requires the bigger scoop. This means less drag hangin' out there in the wind, too, although it might only be noticeable at really high speeds. ;)

If you decide to try the '04 scoop anyway, let us know how the fitment works out. I love that word 'fitment' - never used it before I got my subie. :p

I wanted to get an '06 hood scoop for my '05. When I was at a meet, I compared mine to an '06. The cutout in the hood looks identical, but the way it's bolted on is different. The bolts are spaced out more on one of the cars.
