OK this may be a dumb question - but I was under the impression you cannot have daytime running lights on HID's. (the new STi).

Are there other (regular) lights on the STi (on the main headlights) that can be on all the time, or just keep the fogs on....???

Halogen Hi-beams with reduced intensity can be used as DRL, I think that's how it is on current WRX too.

The WRX uses the low beams as DRLs, operated at lower power. That is, unless they have been disabled :)

The DRL on the new STI should be powered by a seperate halogen light I would have to imagine. HID DRL's would greatly reduce the HID bulb life.
