What is the max boost the turbo & motor can handle?
Also, i hit fuel cut & got a cell because i hit 17psi, once the light goes on, what happens?
when i hit cut the other day, i stepped on the gas in 5th and the boost went flyin to almost 20psi! and there wuz no cut!
is this the poor man's way of eliminating

I was running around 19psi on my stock setup with no problem. Granted I would only run that for a short period of time, but still it was ok.

Trust me. If your spiking to 20psi DO NOT remove the fuel cut.
I use the boost cut as a safety tool. When you have an MBC your boost can change drasticly with the weather and you might not notice... Till you get a CEL and it falls on its face :)
It doesnt really hurt the car, just tells you to knock it off :)
I have hit the boost cut... a bunch of times... so far so good :)
Running over 17psi with the stock turbo is not a good idea if you are on the street. At the track it is ok due to the short duration but on the street you will overheat the HELL out of the turbo.
I wouldnt reccommend it anyways.

i have run 20 psi on my set up an never hit the boost cut. i was already running the check engine light though. maybe once its on it doesn't hit boost cut again. or maybe 100 shot of nitrous and 20 psi was too much for the engine and i wouldn't do it. either way who cares. :)

I hit a fuel cut one time, on the track, at around 20 pounds.

I hit it the other day. But with a VF23 turbo. I guess it does not matter what turbo I am running if I have no engine management. Anyway hit the boost cut and CEL came on. It went away a couple hours later though. Car was pulling like mad though right before i hit it. I almost wet my pants!

hahaha I love it.
I know it 'should' still work.
I know this guy who hit the boost cut about a million times :D
He said <~ :) That if you hit the boost cut once the CEL will come on. If you do not hit the boost cut again after 2 complete warmup cycles the CEL should go off. If it gets a boost cut more than once the CEL will stay on till the ECU is reset. ( with a simple disconnection of the battery)
BTW Stealth rocks! :) "either way who cares" :D

But for $10k you better be able to beat the hell out of it would be my thoughts.

no kidding. the engine builder says i can shoot a 100 shot with 22-25 psi no problem. just make sure that i have a bad ass engine tuner. now where do i find one of those. since everyone and their mom in southern california thinks they can tune. oh well.

I thought running 17 psi on the stock turbo did nothing but hinder performance due to the temps being so high?
