used STi stalls and won't restart (was: What is wrong with my sti?)
I was at a stoplight and started playing with the dccp. I switched it to manual and played with a the **** a little bit. Then before the light turned green I switched it back to auto and started to drive through the intersection. I was not driving it hard at all. When i shifted into 3rd the car made a loud noise and died. I tried to restart it and it wouldnt stay on. The check engine light and oil light came on and stayed on. I have only put 300 miles on it since i bought it 3 weeks ago. It has 9300 miles on it and it is totaly stock. What could have broken? It is sitting at the dealer becuase they couldnt diagnose it untill today. I hope its something easy so i dont have to go long with my sti.
the guy that owned it before me put N20 on it. I am in limbo becuase the car was used car certified from a subaru dealer with the factory warranty still on it. Subaru has said they wont warranty it. The dealership has said they will fix it. I dont know if i want it without the warranty.
If Subaru knows there was nitrous run through it that should void an previous factory powertrain warranty.
If you got another "used car" warranty when you bought it, I would take it back.

Don't get me wrong, I am not happy about it but I have to accept it. I have a STI with a full intake and exhaust, fuel system, reflash, FP Red Turbo, FMIC, Tein Flex Suspension, Front and Rear Sway Bars. I don't have a chance at getting that car warenteed.
since you only have 9300 miles i'm guesing it's a rescent model? so factory warrenty still applies. Which means unless you signed something that said all factory warrenty is voided they still have to pay for it.
it doesn't matter what was done to the car before.
depdivr - of course if you take your car like that with all the mods Subaru has all the right to deny your warrenty but not for Venom, supposing that he didn't do any serious mods in short time he had the car
We all know when we mod our cars we play with fire. no pain no gain.
