You have to stay true to what you want and like, but I have a feeling you may need thick skin.

Exactly, I don't put stuff on my car that isn't functional.

 

I often have to remind myself that car enthusiasts are enthusiasts mainly for two reasons, the thrill of going fast and the thrill of punani.

I think there are many who have less of an urge for the former so long as the latter is maximized.

 

As long as one of the two are in excessive complaints are kept to a minimum.
