FS: 91 SR20DET Nissan 240SX SE Coupe

Ok, well, I've been talking about it and most of you guys who have met me knows that I've been planning to sell the car for a few weeks now. I was going to take off all the parts and sell it stock with the motor but after some other people's suggestions, I am going to list it as is. I put a "For Sale" sign up at Drift Day Saturday and it seemed some people are interested but no one has shown up with cash yet.

This car I have had for 3 years and spent much time and money in it. I hate to see it go, but I need something a little more practical and no longer have the time and attention it needs. I do not drive on a daily basis so the car is collecting dust. I roll it out to wash and wax it every week.

I know some people will say what? you never drift? The answer is yes. I didn't build this car to drift - I built it because I loved the S13 coupe and wanted to restore it to like new condition. I have autocrossed the car before and is very capable on track. I am hoping to sell the car to someone who can appreciate it and hopefully likes 240SXs as much as I do.

So here it goes:

1991 Nissan 240SX SE coupe
- Clean Title, 2nd owner, Garaged
- Never drifted or abused
- Mint condition inside and out
- you will not see a cleaner coupe
- looks new outside with no dings, dents or scratches
- interior carpet has been steam cleaned, new OEM floormats
- Working digital HUD with digital Speedo
- AC blows cold
- 130K miles chassis, 20K miles motor
- newly swapped S13 SR20DET, professionally done, all receipts available upon request

- Winner "Best 240SX" JDM Theory car show

Parts:
- blacktop SR20DET, 150 compression across all 4 cylinders cold
- Apexi Power Intake
- RSR downpipe
- Apexi N1 cat-back
- Tein Type Flex Suspension
- JDM VLSD equipped
- Racing Gear front tension rods
- Racing Gear front reinforced tie rods/ends
- Peak Performance rear subframe spacers
- Enkei Racing S 16x7/16x8 +32 offset rims
- H&R wheel spacers
- Falken RT-215 front 205/55 tires, BFG G-force KD rear 225/50 tires
- 300ZX front 30mm Aluminum caliper brake conversion
- Momo steering wheel with real Nismo carbon fiber horn and quick release
- 98 S14 SE front seats - excellent condition, only 20K miles total on seats

Isn't this the responsibility of the owner and not the driver? From my experiences with buying used cars, its always been the owner's responsibilty.

I believe its the sellers responsibility unless noted that the buyer is responsible

Yes, that is true, however with cars that do not pass smog, you need to do the "special" smog. This is just to say that the person buying it has his own source for that. Unless you are planning to use it as a non-op vehicle for track/show only.

I will take some pictures of how it is now but here are some other pictures.

Krinkov and -j- can vouch for how clean the car is. They've both seen it in person. All services done with AutoHQ.

Here's the car when I took the "Best 240SX" award.

And full show trim with OEM aero kit... I sold the front bumper and sideskirts already.

Very nice One-Via. Attention to detail on that car looks amazing. Nice job with the work done to it and good luck with the sale. Bump for an amazing looking S13.

Ok, since posting on craigslist and some car forums, I've had a number of people ask me the history of the car so instead of writing this 100x to everyone here goes:

The car I purchased 3 years ago from an old lady who used to drive it to church every weekend. It had less than 100,000 miles and was in excellent condition. After I purchased it, I swapped in an SR20DET and drove it completely stock for a while. It was fun surprising the occasional Honda and some BMW 330 but after a while I decided to modify it. The body was completely taken apart and repainted the same stock color. Every inch was sanded down and completely repainted. Care was taken to remove the OEM stickers and replace them after repainting. The whole paint process cost $2500 and took 2 months. I got an JDM OEM aero kit and installed it on the car. I participated in the JDM Theory car show and the car took the "BEST 240SX" trophy for the cleanest 240SX.

The engine blew on me while driving. It was completely rebuilt with fresh internals, the engine wiring harness completely replaced with a new JDM factory one and Power FC engine management to control it all.

The tuning was done by Shigenori Ara of Zero Sports Japan. He flew in to tune a few STIs and had some extra time and dyno tuned my motor at Subaru Specialists in Sacramento. It was dyno tuned and then while driving it blew once again... this was about 4 months ago.

Rather than spend the money to rebuild the old motor again, I decided to swap in a fresh motor - the current blacktop in the car. The swap took 2 months to complete. The engine management was removed and everything returned to stock for reliability. All sensors and maintenance items were replaced on the motor while it was out. So the current motor in the car is 1 month old and very low miles. Everything was professionally done throughout the history of the car.

All told there was over $20,000 invested in this car to use for show, autocross and HPDE use. Most of it was parted out and sold. I litterally have over 100 pictures of the progress of the car as it was built and various stages.

The price is set low for a quick sale and is VERY FIRM.

Hey there ZK,
I did a little snooping around and found something a little disturbing. I truncated the URL for the pictures and got to the root of the directory and started looking at all the files. I noticed a picture there that concerns me as a potential buyer. You never mentioned the car being in an accident, so Im wondering whats up.

Ya until you showed the accident picture, it looked ok. Though you can see the slight mismatches with the bumper to the hood and the lights. That seems like an after market(??) front end so fit and finish would be different depending on quality or whether or not the front was misaligned a bit during the accident..
