Want to let everyone know that there will be a TEAM racing track event (HPDE) at Reno Fernley Raceway October 22-23, SAturday and sunday. One day will be 175.00, two days 325.00. Amazing track, will probably be 4 miles by then, with a lot of elevation gain, varied turns, HIGH speed track. There will be several Evos and DSM's in attendance, would be great to get as many of the Subaru crowd there as possible. There will alos be several spec miatas. Info and registration will be ont he TEAM racing website withi the next week. Reno might be far for some, but it's worth it, a great track, and a break from running thunderhill all the time!
I'll post more in the next few days. Watch norcalevo.net for more info as well.
Peace.

Some stuff to dig through, but look at pages 3 and 4. Tell all the Subaru track hounds. I'll also be talking with The guys at Subaru Specialists in Sacto.

I went ahead and moved this to the Sac/Reno forum where it will hopefully get more attention. I copied it to the BAIC as well. :)

So 2.4 or 4 miles?
Well, the 4 mile verson is not yet paved, so I think it will depend on whether or not they complete it in time or not. I'm going to say no on the 4 mile version, there is a LOT of work to be done still. RFR in its current config is awesome though, no complaints.

cw? ccw?
***We'll be running the traditional CCW direction (start-finish on drivers right), and at this time, it's still a 2.4 mile course -- but like has been already mentioned, it's good enough already. :) I spoke with track manager Jeremy Cable this past weekend and he said that they will begin paving probably this week, but there are still other issues to be worked out -- mainly the new section needs to be rigorously tested for safety, etc..

Well, I'm fine with the current configuration, should be a great event regardless..
Now, I have a thread going on SECCS.org, (Reno area Subaru site), feel free to promote there, my name is Matt. I think a few of us may attend, but I will not be sure until later this month. Here is the link (http://www.seccs.org/forums/showthread.php?p=53295#post53295)

That's TERRIFIC, Matt! THANKS so much! I do hope you can make it, we'd be glad to have you come and play with us. And alas, another news group I have to join. You guys would freak if you knew how many groups I'm on. It's unfortunately the only way to really stay up to date on stuff when you're an organizer. I am always so grateful anytime somebody helps me promote the TEAM stuff . . . it really does help out a LOT. Thanks again! :D

MATT! Lol . . . it's actually on October 22 and 23, not 23 and 24. I'm signing up now . . . but can you by any chance edit the initial title? I will post additional info. THANKS for starting the thread.

It's starting to look like we might actually get to run the full 4-mile course at Reno-Fernley in a few weeks. Sources tell me that they are sealing the pavement today, and will begin painting tomorrow! How cool! The best part is, they aren't going to increase our fees! Spread the word!!! :D
