i wanted make a grill for my hood scoop so that the intercooler stays safe from debris. also a grill for the bottom of the bumper. however, it was merely impossible to fit a tiny grill into the scoop. and pain in the rear to cut it out to the perfect size. do u know where i can acquire one? i seen on on ebay for 50 bucks but seems pricy. i had no problem with putting a grill on a 03 corolla with just gutter mesh. please help

it is easier to put the grill on the intercooler itself...

i know lots of people have done it that way... I myself went through the hassle of making one fit in the scoop, but i like it that way...

how do i attach the grill on the intercooler? will it have an effect on performance? what about for the front? should i attach a grill on that itself as well? What do i use ? and where do i get it?

i attatched the grill to my hood scoop using black zip ties (my car is black) you cant see them untill you get real close...

I ordered the grill mesh off EBay for $12. It was a $3 chunk of gutter mesh that was shipped to me in a cardboard envelope cut out of a pizza box! Heh, oh well. The $50 is a white looking mesh right? If its the one Im thinking of then dont buy it. Its a POS! Mine has worked well. I sprayed painted it black and used black zip ties. I have a white WRX and you cant tell the blach mesh is there untill you get close to it. It doesnt seam to restrick airflow at all. The gaps are a bit wider then I wanted *knock on wood* but it has saved a few dings to my IC. I can tell because the paint is starting to chip.
