NO police caught looting: Shoes > Saving lives and maintaining order!

Maybe the answer never was on the State and Federal level. Maybe everything can be traced to an incompetent city, incompetent city officials, an incompetent NOPD police force, and pure ignorance?

Wow. That alarm would just get way too annoying for me. I can't believe those two. I'm speechless.

What a couple of degenerate morons. They swore an oath to protect and serve, happen to be in the middle of a humanitarian crisis where they could be putting thier skills and training(or lack of) to use by actually helping people and saving lives, but instead they're stealing shoes and purses? This just goes to show that the blame for lack of response goes all the way down the ladder from fed. to state to local and even emergency services.

New Orleans has the most F'd up police in the U.S. They're like one step up from Tiajuana's finest. It's been that way forever....

Wink

^^That's a great justification...like most PD wouldn't have been the same conservative 'I deserve it more than you' ****s that did this.... hahahahaha...I've met the same cops who would have done it in CA... just like they did and you would have... hahahahaha.

It takes a certain elitisist and inherently wrong mentality to be a cop as it does to be a defense attorney for confesed felons...I'm sorry, but as a neuroscience/psych person it's just the truth...

The fact that most military men and police men are republican is not a causation but instead a symptom...think about it....

The SFO guards are just following the rules to a "T" to keep their jobs. So it makes them look like mindless zombies. God forbit you let someone on a plane with a finger nail cliper.

In the big easy most of the cops are on the take. It's been noted that it's one hell of a corrupt dpt. When I went to New Orleans for Mardi Gras, all my friends told me not to **** off the cops. You'd get a beat down and there wouldn't be a report or any documentation of your *** beating....it never happened....lol. They only work when they absolutely have to. So basically you can get away with murder as long as you don't make it so obvious that the cops have to respond...ha ha...just kidding, but it is bad. Not to say I don't like New Orleans. It's totally cool to have drive through Daiquiri bars. Plus it's nice to be rolling in the car as a passenger on a hot day and drink Ice cold brew. Then of course there's Mardi Gras. ***** everywhere! That's my kind of town.

So, having friends there and having been there myself, as well as many east coast states, many middle America state, and all up and down the west coast, I can make a valid comparison between them and the rest of the country. To reiterate, New Orleans cops are F'd up.

Just look at the mayor. The guy sounds like he belongs in a low budget rap video. His big chance to give a speech that will encourage help for the citizens and he makes it sound like he has a 3rd grade level education.

Did you ever think that it just might be you? These questions might help you get to the root of the problem.

Have you, or do you know anyone that needed to file a police report?
Did you know that in the U.S. you're innocent untill proven guilty?
Do you dislike authority?
Do you think that "they" are out to get you?

I'm sorry, but as an underwater basket weaving person, I think it's just you.

cau•sa•tion

Incompetent city? No. How about stupid people. You see these idiots taking a new 27 inch tv in downtown. What the hell are they going to do with that tv while they starve to death. I saw a person with a garbage bag of Nike shoes on the tv the other day and thought wait to go dumbass. What the hell are you going to do with 10 pairs of shoes in a city that you can't get out of, has no food or water, and are sleeping in the street. It just comes down to the individuals who were not wise enough to heed the warning and do stupid things like looting.

Yes, me and they didn't do s***.
No s***, but that's another problem...I've been pulled over twice just for being a young person at 3-5 in the morning...not exactly probably cause is it.
Yes, when they missuse said authority.
No, noone's out to get me.

And no, it's not just me. Why do doctors and scientists rarely hang out with cops or lawyers? Seriously, there are great people who become authority figures. But it's not the usual scenario.

I'm no psychiatrist, but I think it's a safe bet to say that your not giving a fair opinion here. I can see how you're pissed off because you've been harassed a few times by the police. Trust me, I know how it is, I've been there too. You also, have to look at the big picture, there are TONS of cops out there, especially in the bay area, there are going to be some bad apples. BUT, and that's a big but, take it from me, the cops out here are of a higher caliber than you'll find ALMOST anywhere else. Most cops in the bay area have college educations. All of them have near spotless backgrounds. There arn't very many jobs out there that call for manditory drug testing, yearly background investigations, psych evaluations, and polygraphs. Your average Joe couldn't cut it. But I will admit, I too have come across some jerks that shouldn't be in uniform. However, that's no excuse to label all Cops worthless. Without them, chaos would riegn.

FYI: Cops here in the bay area take their jobs seriously. They get paid better than anywhere else. Wages range from $70K (Starting) to over $100K a year. I think Bart Police are getting the most right now.

Like I said before Salty, New Orleans is nothing but curroption. I don't think people that don't live here realize how bad it is. I guarantee if someone caught me shotting someone in the head I would get off if I had $1000 bucks in my pocket. If the cop walked up and I offered up the money and to keep quiet I GUARANTEE I would never get caught. The dedicated cops though worked themselves to the bone. While some cops were quitting, turning in their badges and committing suicide we had cops begging to come on patrol with us.
