UK n00b 08-28-2005, 09:53 AM So This is a Mike's car vs Mark's car Event Now???
Who's going to be driving your car Mike?
Not that I am aware of I was just saying that I am in for coming up to play on Oct 1st.
That being said I think I could have Preston run the car against Marks it's not going to be hard to beat a 250whp STI is it ;)
Joking aside I would pilot it against Mark although racing Mark is not the object for my car more giving the car it's best chance of running the fastest time it could which having me pilot it clearly is not going to be it (never drag raced before in my life)
Mike
nachomc 08-28-2005, 10:52 AM I'm not really interested in an SRIC vs. BAIC event :|

You and me both, I am still needing to have my IC piping welded with bolt thru's to stop them coming apart at anything over 28psi :( going to make it a priority after labor day weekend though as it would be nice to get out to the grudge night and have some fun.
Don't you have a 2.4 built monster?
Mike
pbchief2 08-28-2005, 12:07 PM Almost:(

We should see a few Subbies faster then 12.0 and maybe even 11.49 which is the new lower standard set by the NHRA, so it will be interesting to see how the Raceway reacts.
Wingless Wonder 09-04-2005, 10:38 AM Mark, will your friend with the Viper be able to make it on that Saturday?

which subbies should be around that speed? I am still debating on switching and getting that AP so i can get race gas, especially now that regular gas is almost the same price as race gas LOLL

I know about your car, but i'm not sure who else's there is. Didn't the other kid with a built motor blow it before s-squared got a chance to tune it? Then there is a black one on sunrise that always claims 11's, but i'm not sure how accurate that is

Hey Mark, do you wanna run heads up one time just for the hell outa it, I know you should walk me especially if you are on race gas, but I am going to hope u miss-shift or something, then I can say I beat you :D. It would be fun to race one of the fastest STI's in Nor-Cal, just to motivate me to finish building my block haha

As long as the beast makes it out there on OCT 1st...
You might even beat me by default as i'm not 100% sure my car will be there.
If its not there there will be a few other fast subbies out there.
You can always run Mikes' blue bucket ;)

Ya im use to the slow SRIC, haha maybe I should hang out there with the fast cars :D. I am really new to the suby scene, and I pretty much just skim around the SRIC and Nasioc. I came from the VW scene in Arizona, which is mammoth lots of cool and crazy dubs out there, 4 or more of the VW Performance magazines have cover cars that where from Arizona, that I would see almost every weekend.
In Arizona they have the coolest thing ever, every saturday night they have a HUGEEEE meeting place with like 500+ cars, its basically a car show. The businesses are happy that we are there, and the cops are there to make sure everyone is in line. One half of the place is nothing but like 60-70's cars some even earlier. Then the muscle cars sit on one side and the imports, its badass you just walk around and talk to people about their cars, and you actually get ALOT of hook ups through there. It was awesome, I wish they had something like that around here, I was thinking about trying to start something like that, but I'm not sure how to get the word out that bad because I think they have been doing those meets there for over 30 years...
It would be awesome to meet some of you guys, I will for sure be there now, and you better show up. I don't want to win by default haha. I wanna see some other beasts, I have met alot of the more umm... ricer? boys, with intake and exhaust who think they are god on a wrx with big wings and body kits. Also some of the STi people out here are kinda umm.... Big headed?? You wave and they just give you the look like what the hell are you waving out, you can tell they use to be Honda owners. The EVO owners out here seem to be more down to earth and cool, I end up talking to EVO owners out here more then STI owners. All the WRX people I have met out here are pretty damn cool though.
pbchief2 09-07-2005, 11:04 PM I might be able to race you heads up:D Also do you come out to any meets?*(I know they're small but they're still meets)

I come every now then, I have only been to 2 since I started. My car hasn't been active the passed couple weekends ecause of the turbo problems. I might end up at this saturdays maybe not, I dunno its a little ways outa the way for me
MARKSTI 09-08-2005, 12:12 AM I might be able to race you heads up

haha whatever works, maybe i can find some money on the ground and have enough money to finish this motor that gets here today. Then actually give you a run for your money for real. It is a motnh away, so who knows whats gunna happen from now and then, but i HIGHLY doubt the motor will be finished by then. Gotta find a good machining shop out here and see how much they are gunna charge me to do some heads and a block for me :D
gilmore25 09-08-2005, 08:47 AM This is getting to be a awesome line-up.. Finally all the fast car on I-club will be racing... Hope they all show up!!

gilmore25 09-08-2005, 12:07 PM Don't think they allow R/C car's on the track maybe another time tho
MARKSTI 09-11-2005, 03:07 PM Bump for some results on the SBR-14 on Lookinforpowerss' car :)
LookingForPower 09-11-2005, 05:55 PM They aren't done yet, they are suppose to finish Monday now I guess. I will see if I can get a print out when i go in monday, some minor things happened when they where cleaning out my tubes from all the oil my last turbo spit out, so they wheren't able to finish by Friday, it's all good though hopefully she will be back out there on monday stronger then ever.

treynor 10-02-2005, 09:02 AM It was a very busy evening at the track. I got 6 passes in 3.3 hours, and I was one of the lucky ones. The blue Subie made some very quick passes and was the talk of the pit area.
Mark and I are going to line up at the end of this month.
SuzWRX 10-02-2005, 10:25 AM Good turnout last night! Got to see some really quick Subarus! I got in about 5 passed and my best time ended up being a 13.0 @ 105 mph. We should definately do this again!
UK n00b 10-02-2005, 10:33 AM Great to see everyone out there.
Ben your car is awesome, it's kind of amusing to watch a car such as yours click off 11.3's and people saying damn can't even tell if the car is running or not (so quiet!).
As for the blue bucket all I can say is that I am a little dissappointed in myself for not checking the car out prior to driving up there, the top end misfire would have been a simple fix at the shop. I do take some solice in the fact that even with the topend misfire (6k-8k) the car still managed a 11.4.
After downloading the onboard data this morning one thing I will say is that someone is truly smiling on me as the missing was so bad I am surprised the car still runs.
Mark, thanks for driving the bucket again sorry for not giving you a fully working car. I'll get the missing sorted out this week (already found a bad plug lead this morning) and try and add the parts I planned for this past event so it can come out again at the end of the month with your car.
Mike
