Crucial Racing Springs vs JDM pink springs

Just need peoples feedback on this one.

I'm in the market for a set of 04 JDM STI pink springs since I'm running the JDM STI v8 Suspension. Many have said the pinks with v8 is a really good match.

I've been told that Crucial Racing came out with springs with the same rates (257lb front, 217lb rear). BUT the drop is slightly lower than the JDM pinks: 1.25 front/1.0 rear. And they're about $100 cheaper ($279).

Same spring rates at a cheaper price.

So anyone have experience with them?

ryan

I was looking for a set of pinks but it looks like I'm going to go with the Crucial springs instead. I've read good things about them and it's hard to argue with getting them for $100 less than pinks. The only thing that makes me a little nervous is worrying about scraping the front with the 1.25" drop... if the drop is too much I guess I'll have to try something else.

The drop is also got me on the fence. It's only .5 inches lower than my current set up so I'm wondering if I'm stressing over nothing. I did have progress group springs long time ago and those dumped my wrx. 1.8 drop in the front and living in San Francisco (read: potholes a plenty)...not good.

I'm probably going to go for it. I've been chatting with Russ from Crucial Racing and he's lived in the Bay Area before and said that I shouldn't worry about scraping or bottoming out.

Now I just need to get my paycheck

Why not use the USDM pink STI springs? They're only about $240 a set.
