Hi, I have a cf hood and I it is fading... Does anyone know what I should do? Are there any specialists that know how to fix cf hood? Can I just get a clear coat?
The cf hood looks really really dry. Theres like no shine to it anymore. Anyway replies would be helpful

 

put a big decale in the middle of it and then when it fades more peel off the decale, then you will have a dark area where the decale was and the faded around it... it will look cool.... same theory as the girls that put stickers on themselfs before they go tanning!.
actully I have no clue how you would fix it... If you have it clear coated it will most likely cost $200+
might as well just buy a new one at that point and sell off yours.. put it on ebay, specify that its used, and make sure you warn me before you do so i dont accidently buy it from you !!

good god man, keep your head in the game... dont get distracted!!.. he asked what he could do to his carbon fiber hood to refresh it... not a condecending remark about how he is wrong to have a carbon fiber hood in the first place!!
Its ok, just stay focused and you can think of something productive. I know you can do it ... because i believe in you

 

VIS for like a little more than one year

 

send that **** back... at least call the rep or something.. because im preaty sure that VIS is like guranteed to not fade.. well not guranteed but at least they can do something for you...

 

contact VIS they have a guarantee for fadeing for a certain amount of time im sure its longer then a year, if not then just take it to a body shop have it sanded and recleared.
the clearcoat is always going to fade if the car is in the sun all the time, best way to save your c/f hood from sun burn is a car cover....
