Need location in Bay Area to take some pics of a couple cars

it's me!!! doubt anyone remembers me. LOL. anyways, need some suggestions for a photoshoot. need a empty road with trees and some bends. also, a open area with a simple background. anyone got any ideas. would like it to be less than 30 minutes from san francisco. gonna need it to shoot a brand new S2000, new G35, and new CLK. oh, it's gonna be on a sunday which makes it harder to find empty roads. thanks in advance.

there's people there on sundays. also, i wouldn't be able to have the cars go back and forth on that road. don't want brucelee to be buzzing by while i'm on the side of the road shooting. last, it's a lot more than 30 minutes from san francisco.

there are no empty roads.. but there are plenty of roads with very little traffic on them..
even in the bay area. if you are willing to go farther, you coul deasily find roads where you probably wont see more than 1 or 2 cars per hour.

you could easily use mount hamilton or mines. there is alot more traffic there on weekends, but you can still go minutes without seeing lines of cars.

simple background, with a lot a space and plenty of parking, id say go to the marina in san leandro. it has a nice background of the bay and you can see the planes arriving and departing from SFO. i have some pics from a past photo shot we did there. ill have to look for it so you can get a general idea of the vacinity.

ive seen professional photo shoots up on skyline at the vistpoint between page mill and 84.
if you park the car sideways and put up some cones.. you can get pictures of the cars.. any girls draped over them and a beautiful view of the valley below.
if you cone it off reasonably.. im sure you could do your shoot without nay harassment..

there might be spectators.
you could also do it early in the morning. get there just after the sun comes out.
you will get a great view and very little traffic.

i say go up to skyline, or treasure island. treasure island has some good spots, and there is very little to no traffic

I also say Mines Road for the action photos (north section by livermore) Do the shoot early to avoid the bikes and other traffic

1) lots of turnouts so you can turn the car around
2) lots of scenic curves

actually your 1/2 hour from SF doesn't leave much. (can you actually get out of the city in 30 minutes?)

Just North of SF in the Marin Headlands are some scenic roads
Out to Point Bonita Lighthouse

traffic isn't too bad since the roads don't go anywhere - again go early to avoid bikes

photographers know that the best time to shoot are dawn and dusk. it makes sense to get up really early and head out there, before anyone gets there...you also get better lighting too!

that pretty much qualifies most bay area locations unless people feel like being out there @ 6AM.
