what types of fog light covers are available besides teh standard fully-blocking ones? basically id like the headlights to not stand out so much but still be useable. what about some aftermarket manufacturer that makes smaller fog lights built into what would look like a standard fog light cover? was also thinking of maybe smoking them (painting internal housing), anybody done that or know how it comes out?

 

While I was looking around for an RS I found one particular car that had mesh foglight covers. I haven't found a vendor for them, but they look awesome on the car and let the light through.

Unfortunately, I didn't take pics of the car at the lot (Loman Subaru in NJ). But if I remember correctly it was a Red 2001 RS. I'll look around the internet for some pics if I can find 'em...

EDIT: I think I tracked down the cardomain page of the one I saw in the dealer (I knew someone who did that much to their car had to want to show it off somewhere). The only problem is on the second page, there's a bugeye WRX with the grill covers too, and they don't look like they are the same dimensions as the ones on the RS...

you think those are the mesh ones? kinda hard to tell from that pic but i think so too...might be the tinted clear plastic ones you were talking about. look pretty good to me

definitely post if you find any more pics of the mesh ones, im starting to lean that way now...

edit: yeah those are def the tinted plastic ones, but they look pretty good i gotta say. anybody got day/night pics of those or the mesh ones?? ive still only seen crappy far-off pics of the mesh ones...
