WRX / STI Genome Axleback - $800 Dealer Option
WRX/STI Genome Axleback (USDM Version). This is the axleback that Subaru dealers are selling for $800. This is not the less expensive Bosal exhaust. The axleback is made for Subaru by Sakamoto Industry.
Sakamoto Industry is Subaru's (exhaust) OEM and Optional Equipment Manufacturer (http://www.sakamotonet.co.jp/pd/index_e.html). if you take a look at any of the Subaru OEM mufflers, you will see Sakamoto stamped on it.
The only difference between this and the JDM model is the stamp on the tip. USDM versions does not have the stamp (STI Genome).
This will fit 02-05 WRX / STI. The install time should only take 15 minutes and no extra hardware needed. You use your existing hangers and bolts (2 - 14mm).
The axleback is MINT condition! It has a VERY VERY nice tone. Sounds nice at idle, nice during regular acceleration, let's you know it's there at WOT, and barely hear it cruising at 80 mph with the windows up. No droning at all. I have received several comments on how nice the axleback sounds from local WRX/STI folks, you will not be disappointed!
