I was just wondering if anyone here is from Iowa?

I'm originally from Dyersville Iowa, but I live in Hawaii right now. I can't wait to come home next month.:)

I'm from Iowa. Cedar Rapids to be exact, but no Subie yet. I know there's a couple guys from IC, some from CR, some from DSM, and one that I know of from Dbq.

Was down there a dew times this year with the old stang, nice place!!

ive gone to MAM once, and then they closed up for winter but i will definantly be heading up there more often as soon as they open up again.

Which track is MAM? where is it located. what kind of setup is it; drag, oval, or road course?

MAM is Mid-American-Motorplex.

Its located South of Council Bluffs about 15 miles!! off of I-29.

Its on the Iowa side, and its a Open race track. There building a 1/8 drag strip and theres a pond for jet ski racing. Will be a go-cart track built soon for those types of racing!!

I also am from Iowa, in Des Moines now, but my hometown is about 30 mintues away from Le Mars. My car has actually been in Le Mars on a couple of occasions, not more than a couple hours at a time though. I try to swing by and see a friend every time I go home... If its anywhere in Le Mars it probably parked in front of Pro's Choice across from WalMart. If you see a silver WRX with tinted windows and CF blinker replacements stop in and say hi :)

omaha also here. i know brett has a deposit on an STI at a few places, i'm sure he'll be one of the first. MAM has a fantastic facilty, i love heading down for saturday night street races. doesnt hurt that my store sponsors that event. maybe i'll bring the legacy out once or twice.

Who's Brett? Where are the local street races? Man, I'm so outta the loop.

I live in Lincoln Nebraska. Not Iowa but close enough.

Just moved to a small city near Des Moines.
Havin lots of fun initiating the uninformed about the performance capabilites of a WRX! You all know the type (V-8 guys i.e. Vettes, Cobras, SSs, Lightnings, etc.)
By the way, if anyone is intersted in upping the performance of their WRX, I highly recommend GRD Performance in napersville, IL.
They are great to work with AND they have a 4-wheel dyno. It is well worth the time and effort to go there.

brett has an 02 blaze yellow wrx right now. street races, what street races :) on saturday night MAM holds street racing on its track. run what you brung basically. costs $15 to race all night. 7pm-2am normally. quite fun. you can run whoever you want, and they have some cool stuff going on most the time.
