I typed a long response just before billing caught onto Alex's shenanigans.
The video was fun in some parts but way to diluted to be relevant. You can buy goods, services and food for US pennies in most parts of the world. Hell, you can barter for most of it if you offer something good in return. Subaruguru is buying me brand-new Nikes in Vietnam for $2.
He's also promised to link-up with by a buddy I know in Aranyik, Thailand to buy swords from the famous Thai swordsmith, Lung Som. Basically, you can buy a full sword off of him for $20-30. His workmanship would cost your about $1200+ per sword here. Should be expecting that fed-ex of swords shortly. (hehe)
There's just certain walks of life in many cultures that don't compare or have any equivalents in other cultures. Besides, I don’t take life for granted and don’t put myself above other cultures. I know I’m damn lucky. I just hate when people try to make you out to be a criminal for being an American.
