Wastegate sensing line: Where?

So should the tap for the wastegate go to the discharge of the turbo/inlet of TMIC, Outlet of TMIC to TB, or Intake manifold?

Seems to me if I have a 4lb spring in the wastegate and the tap is at the turbo discharge, actual boost seen by the engine will be less that 4lbs because of the pressure drop accross the TMIC and the TB. If this is true, could that be why the boost gauge only reads 3lbs? Boost gauge is tapped off the intake manifold.

you're right, the boost guage is seeing the boost the engine see's, after the pressure drop from the TMIC, since the wastegate see's the boost before the pressure drop.
