Innovative Turbo question

I recently went to a performance auto store in my town. I went to go check it out and I talked to one of the employees to get his opinion on mods. He knows a lot about turbos, and is knowledgable on WRX's but not an expert. He suggested that I go with the Innovative turbo which is a ball bearing system opposed to our stock oil turbo. He says with the same size turbo, there will be a 30% power increase which will bring my completely stock WRX wagon to 295hp. My question is if this is a good route to go? Save the money on the "little" mods like exhaust and intake which would end up costing me around +/-$1000 and go with a special price he can get on this innovative turbo (not sure what model number) for a little less that $1000 w/ installation. He said keep everything stock and jsut get the turbo upgrade. Don't know what to do? Anybody have input or have gone this route?

I'm also saving my money for the complete STi suspension...i heard that is the best route to go
