I am pretty new to the aftermarket scene and made my first purchased, a HKS SQV BOV. However, when I got it in the mail it was the Universal SQV BOV instead of the SQV wrx kit. So I figure rather than going through the hassle of returning it, again, if it is possible to just buy the wrx flange and make it work on the stock intercooler? Is there anything that prohibits this? Does anyone have any suggestions? It would be much appreciated.
you could buy the flange, just google search it and a bunch of companies come up, but like hayakunai said there might be some stuff in the kit you need..
if it's legit hks, all you need is the flange...if you purchased it from a vendor that said it was an ssqv hks "style" I think you might be stuck. The hks ssqv is universal by itself, the only thing that makes it unique for the wrx is the flange, so just try to pick that up.
dude u need the small hose from the kit.. which is not too important i guess u can substitute it.. but what u really need is the plug that plugs up the recirc hose.. i dont think the universal kit comes with one
