Exclamation Lafayette Reservoir BBQ - Sunday, September 14, 1:30 p.m.

It's that time again. I'm planning on a BBQ at Lafayette Reservoir.

DATE: Sunday, September 14
TIME: 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
LOCATION: Lafayette Reservoir off Highway 24 just east of the Caldecott Tunnel

When you go into the park, go to the left and we will meet at the East end of the parking lot. There are some BBQ'ers on the hill on the East side of the reservoir that overlook the parking lot. I figure we can do it from 1:30 to 4:00.

It will be a pot luck and I will bring the charcoal, a lighter and fish to put on the Q. I may also put together a pasta salad or some other kind of salad. Anyway, post what you would like to bring and I'll keep update who's coming and what they're bringing.

I will probably arrive between 12:30 and 1:00 to set things up and start the fire. I will bring plenty of fish so whatever you bring, don't bring too much (unless it is for plates, cups and utinsils, then bring enough for everybody). Last time everybody brought enough food to feed everybody and we wasted a lot of food. If there is interest and people would like to chip in some money, I can pick up a few Tri-tips and season them a couple days before (basically split the cost).

I'll be on vacation until September 2nd and will update the list when I return.

Sea Dragon Rex - 10+pounds of fish, tri-tip
Zoeb - Coke
Jay784 - Hot Links
AntiochCali - paper plates and plastic utinsils
byoung - chip in for tri-tip
wrx2goplz - rice
Ayapon - BBQ stuff
raazin - drinks
dahveed - salad and beer(?)
Verc - chips and dip and canned soda
Slack - fruit salad
skibri - 24-pack
Joltdudeuc - macaroni salada and soda/ice
Blaznasn - soda

Directions to Lafayette Reservoir

Directions to Lafayette

From SF/Hayward/Oakland

From SF go across the Bay Bridge to 580 East (South?) to Highway 24 East

From Hayward, take 580 or 880 West (North?) to Highway 24

From Highway 24 East
Go though the Caldecott Tunnel and Exit at Acalanes Blvd
When you get to the stoplight at the freeway exit, continue straight onto Mount Diablo Blvd (when you go straight, it turns into Mount Diablo)
After about 3/4 of a mile you should see the entrance to the reservoir.

From Concord/Antioch/Pleasanton/Dublin

Take Highway 680 towards Walnut Creek
Take Highway 24 West
Take Central Lafayette Exit (Lafayette BART exit and is the first exit after the Pleasant Hill Road Exit)
Turn right onto Deer Hill Road and make a right at the first light when you are on Deer Hill Road (1st Street)
Go under the freeway and turn right onto Mount Diablo Boulevard
Take Mount Diablo Boulevard about 1/2 mile and you will see the entrance on your left.

Go up the hill and and pay entry at the kiosk (I believe it is a couple bucks)
